This project will create a lending library of digital devices and WiFi internet dongles, to be shared amongst local families and older people who do not have the resources to access online projects. In parallel we will run online projects building peoples digital knowledge and confidence in accessing remote projects.

This funding will maintain the new activities and support offer we are delivering across our community – this includes Doorstep Help (delivering food, prescriptions, essentials for older/vulnerable people), our Phone Befriending scheme and apArt an online arts and engagement programme for everyone from under 5’s through to older people.

Grant to plug the gap in their revenue income generation that has been lost, they cannot continue to pay the staff involved in the offer we had created to run but now cannot run them.

Food Explorers - Community Cooking & Sharing

We want to support isolated older people with weekly visits from volunteers, providing companionship and a link to the community.

Food Explorers project will help people in the community to share food reflecting their personal and cultural background. The Food Explorers will consist of a group of up to 12 people, who will meet 6 times over the course of the project with a different 'menu' to share their tips, secrets and stories to prepare dishes and then compiling the menus into a book freely available.

Holborn Community Association (HCA) and South Camden Sport and Physical Activity Network (HSPAN) will open up the activities  to new and wider groups of people (largely south of the Euston Road).

Move and Meet

Grant to fund a befriending project supporting lonely and isolated older people living in Holborn, Bloomsbury and Covent Garden.

MCF Large Grant

£100,000 for the costs of the accessible elements of the wider refurbishment including: a new entrance, installation of a passenger lift, provision of a hearing loop and the modifying of kitchen and reception areas.

Bedford House- A vital Community Development

Main Grants award

Digital Media workshops for up to 260 young people experiencing local deprivation in Camden. By attending the project young people will have increased aspirations, increased creative skills and improved self-confidence.

The projects aims to purchase tablets enabling isolated and vulnerable older people to play, learn and connect to others by participating in activities such as Digital arts, Reminiscence, Individual and group games, Reading and Writing, Connecting with peers and family members.
